Director, Department of Energy, Dr. Mark Bynoe, this evening, encouraged parishioners and others assembled at the Vreed-en-Hoop Wesleyan Church to ensure that they are informed of the most accurate information about the local petroleum sector so that they can prepare, plan and pursue education and certification in order to benefit.

“Education can liberalise a nation,” Dr. Bynoe said in his address at the Interactive Session on Oil and Gas, hosted at the church’s New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara location.

Dr. Bynoe was invited to make the presentation as part of the church’s Vision Conference 2020, which is aimed at informing the congregation about the current and projected academic, employment, business and subsidiary opportunities in the sector.

Senior Pastor Marlon Hestick, elders and other members of the congregation also attended the session.
