GOGEC is a member-driven and professionally staffed non-profit association of businesspeople committed to improving the economic climate and quality of life in Guyana.
OVERVIEW
Guyana Oil and Gas Energy Chamber (GOGEC) was established in 2017. The formation of this chamber begun due to the discovery of oil in Guyana. This representative organization is a member-driven and professionally staffed non-profit association of businesspeople committed to improving the economic climate and quality of life in Guyana.
Membership is about the development of the community, fostering economic growth and social well-being. It allows our members to take advantage of business opportunities, networking, and gaining information on the sector as well as advocacy for the development of the sector and businesses in general.
Our educational trust includes seminars, trade missions, and expositions throughout the country and internationally to ensure that Guyanese and investors are fully aware of the tremendous impact this new and exciting industry will have on the future development of Guyana.
Our objectives or Mission of GOGEC are:
• To foster the economic growth and social well-being of the nation by promoting and protecting, both nationally and internationally, commerce especially in the energy sector which includes oil and gas.
• To continually strive to enhance the chamber's ability to better serve its members whilst operating as a self- sustaining, non-profit, non- political organization,
• To promoting trade, investment and knowledge transfer within the energy sector to all members and stakeholders.
