Contractors, Sub-Contractors or Licensees operating within Guyana’s petroleum sector are required to seek approval from the Minister responsible for petroleum, for proposed contracts or purchase orders to be sole-sourced that relates to petroleum operations. This guidance outlines the format for submitting the application for approval with respect to sole sourcing.

Sub-Contractor Guidance Notice
This notice is issued with respect to the definition of a “Sub-Contractor” operating within the petroleum sector of Guyana. It serves to remove ambiguity and provides clarity with regards to the criteria for defining a Sub-Contractor, for which, obligations are stipulated within the Act.
